| Dec 16th-WE ARE NOW DOING TWO SHOWS | ||
|
Hey, just letting everyone know that if you want to keep the party rollin' on the 16th we'll be heading over to Doubles Fun Club on Fermor to play a late quick bar set to see if we can't score the winning spot on Freq 107 FMs battle of the bands. We've been doing this for fun and it seems to be going well so far, so come on out and have some beers with us. Also perfect if you're too cool for the all-ages show. Dan ![]() Yes, we'll be getting drunk on fermented eggnog, you guys just show up and have fun with us. That's all ya gotta do, we'll put in the work. See ya there. Dan |

Ok, October came and went way too fast. All the gigs went pretty swell, with the exception of our powerhouse bass player Ian L being too sick to function properly at the Perms CD Release, as he was ill with the flu and seriously puking right until the minute he went onstage, put his game face on, rocked the crowd like the proverbial hurricane he is, and went back to puking. A big get well soon to Ian L, partly because he's our friend and bandmate, but mostly because he's a big whiner (just jokes dude). And pick up the Perms new CD. We have a 'Fabulous' few shows coming up, and here's the 'bad news' about our next 3 shows, every single one is with the drunken idiots known as the Fabulous Kildonans. Not only are these guys not from West, North or even East Kildonan, I was at a party at Fat Johnnys place that got shut down by the police, and they all cried like little girls and offered to do questionable things to the officers to be left alone. So if you can tolerate them then come on down. December 16th is our little treat before Xmas Holidays, tenatively titled "A Very Barry Xmas", it will feature show-stopping sets from the likes of the aforementioned (not so) Fabulous Kildonans, and brand new punk rock n' rollers Sick Sick Sick, feat. members of the Crackdown, the Knockarounds, and fronted by none other than PHIL FROM DEAD CITY DISEASE, beleive me, this will be a killer time. Until next time, Dan |

| Back out of Hibernation! | ||
| Hey, sorry to appear like such a boring band on the outside right now as we're doing a bunch of inside stuff. When we're not in our jamspace writing mass ammounts of new material we're getting promo photos done, putting together ideas/concepts for a video for "Radio De-lite" (which you can hear right here), and getting our shit together for a grant application (we want the government to fund the next cd as we're still broke from the last one). But Rock'N'Roll prevails! We'll be out to play a few shows in late October. So make sure to come out and see us if you want to catch a glimpse of some of our brand new tunes we talk so much about. Two more things on the down-low...if you live in Ontario we'll see you in February and we're planning a huge fuckin blow-out of a show at the West End Cultural Centre with our buddies the Fabulous Kildonans again right before Christmas. We're going to try to make it even bigger than the one last month. | ||

Hey hey, hope we had the privilge of running into you this weekend. We did our second annual Back to School Bash and it was an amazing good time. West End was bumpin' and the kids were insane. We ended up soaked in beer, water, sweat, and various other bodily fluids due to the Fabulous Kildonans, the Detentions kicked ass and it was all an amazing time. If we're putting on a show, come to it, you WILL have a better time with us than whatever you had planned. What did you have planned anyways? Board games and orange tang? Pft. We also played a festival called Perplexapalooza which was a great idea, a festival supporting rural music with some cityfolk invited. Thanks to everyone responsible for that happening, it was pretty dope time. We're taking off a bit of time to keep working on a new disc and not really playing again till October 27th, when The Perms, one of the best pop bands in Manitoba is releasing their CD. Check it out at their myspace account . They were nice enough to ask us to come play with them, I'll post exact lineup info and cost soon. In the meantime, if you've been a lazy jerk, you haven't checked out our new tunes at Myspace. So do it. |
