Fundraising and gettin' hitched
Hey everyone, just to let you all know we're planning a blow out bash sometime in late Febuary/early March with some of our favorite bands, I guarentee it'll be worth coming for the opening bands alone...Also big shout outs to former Barrymore sax dude Jamie Cote whom I was just informed is tying the knot with his longtime sweetie, congrats Jamie, good luck. Also a month or two again we played a benefit at Fort Richmond Collegiate and were just informed that even after everything was paid for and settled up, raised well over $1000 for various charities, that's awesome...we just do these things cuz they're a blast and to find out they're helping people too makes it the most insanely positive experience I can imagine. Anyways, look out for the Feb/March blow-out headlining show, and like Ian said earlier, come to the Clash tribute show on January 14th, it's not a Barrymores show, but half of us are playing in our respective side projects and the other half will be there chilling out....so come say hey and listen to some of the greatest punk rock tunes ever written....tah

Happy Holidays
Merry Christmas everyone! If you're checking this webpage then you definetly deserve holiday wishes from all of the Barrymores. Especially if you came and checked out either of the shows this month. The Christmas show last week was off the hook! We had an awesome time drinking and playing and it looked like everyone who was in the crowd would agree. The dancing was awesome, the pit was amazing...man, the fans we have in Winnipeg are the raddest! You guys always go off. Anyways, it's time now to kick back for the band and write a bunch of new songs that you'll be able to hear when we start gigging again in the new year. I'll keep you posted on that. But you can check us out on Freq 107 live this Tuesday at 6pm. We'll be playing a few acoustic versions of our songs that you'll never get another chance to hear. Also, make sure to check out the Clash/Joe Strummer Tribute Show at the West End on January 14th with me and Rob's other band, The SubCity Dwellers, Dan's other band, The Crackdown, along with The Farrell Bros. and Dead City Disease. For now, have a great Christmas and don't buy too much bullshit that you don't need. Try to resist the excessive consumerism. There's no need for it. AND HAVE A FUCKING GREAT NEW YEAR!

Just a quick update because we're very busy writing songs right now. We've been pumping out a bunch of new tunes and you can hear them if you come to one of our shows in December. Our music is now available through New Music Canada and Pure Volume. Check it out!

Skalloween, reviews and videos!
Holy Hell! Skalloween was amazing! Thanks to everyone who came out. We were literally sliding on a thick layer of sweat and condensation while we were playing. And our instruments were covered in a couple milimetres of it as well. For those of you that don't know...there was 400 kids crammed into a small gym with little ventalation. We dressed as pirates and sang pirate songs, misfits covers and some of our own material. Needless to say it rocked! Within a week we'll have a few pictures from it here. Make sure to check us out at the WECC on November 14th where we'll be playing with Accepting Silence for their CD release party. We'll be unloading some of the half a dozen new songs we've been working on for the past 2 months.

Thanks to the guys at www.4thwave.ca who posted a rockin' review of our Toronto show last August as well as a review of All Nighters. Exclaim Magazine also posted a review that rocks of All Nighters, where they say "The Barrymores are, quite simply, the best ska party band in Canada." Thanks to Bill Adams for that.

We put up new bios and we'll have those live songs up very soon as well.
A date is set for the end of April to film a video for "200 Late Days a Year" and possibly another. More news about that later. Cheers for now!
