Well it's official. The Barrymores are the greatest rock/ska band in the world. These new songs we're writing are turning out to be killer tunes and most definitely some of the best material we've ever written. We've been aiming to write a new one each practice. And when we're rehearsing 3 times a week that proves to be a huge challenge. But it's so much fucking fun! Writing new songs has become a completely different process than it was in the past and it's turning up completely different results. Everyone has been bringing their own thang to each song to make sure we're cranking out the new stuff at our full potential. You can come check us out debuting some of the new material in June including "Sick & Tired of You", "Destin' for Nothin'", "Radio De-lite" and "Hesitate" - all brand spankin' new. We're playing two all ages shows! Fuck Yeah! I mean, we love the bars and all the beer and money they bring in but it's gonna be great to play for the kids again. Just look to the left on your screen and you can see all the details about the shows. Hopefully you all have a chance to come check out these new songs i'm going on and on about. If you do, please don't hesitate to email us at thebarrymores@hotmail.com to let us know what you think. Cheers, Ian |

Hey guys, Quick oversight on our part, the photo of us looking pretty on the upper left of your screen was taken by Mr. Kevin Huang. He takes amazing photos and managed to make us look good at 3 a.m in a hotel parkade after a night of drinking and playing. If you're going to be in the toronto area and want photos done, grab him @ rt1409@hotmail.com Other than that, stay tuned for a buttload of shows, we've been holed up pretty much every free evening we have in a nice practice space we've been renting (very posh) writing new tunes for another record. More info to come. Dan |

Hey, we just got back from playing four shows in the States that rocked! And shit do they ever have cheap beer and cigarettes down there. needless to say we took them up on both. 30 cans of 5.5% Icehouse for $11.95....40 oz. for $1.99....how could we go wrong? Anyways, we want to give shout outs to all the bands we played with especially Six Guns, Go Jimmy Go, the Cavities, 3 Second Jerk, Rainy Day Ollie and the Debonaires. As well as people who partied with us and let us stay with them. Man did we break a lot of laws. Oh well, back to Winnipeg. We're playing a bunch of shows in the next month at the Zoo, Hooligans, Coyotes and an all ager at the West End. So check some out, buy us a beer and heckle the hell out of us. In the meantime we're buckling down and spending a lot of time writing new material for our next album. We've also been asked to play that giant Scotiabank stage on Canada Day at 9pm. So please come and support us. It's going to be huge! Last year there was 100,000 people. Yikes! The video for "I'm not your girl" should be on the site in a few weeks as well. See yah soon. -Ian |

| Hey People! | ||

Well, on the bad side of things we've barely had any time at all to write new material but it's for good reasons. We've been really fucking busy with gigging lately. So if you live in Winnipeg I hope you've had a chance in the past little while to check us out and if not....WHY THE HELL NOT??? We have a bunch of more gigs in the next month and a half before we go on tour so make sure to check us out and give us your best or worst wishes before we hit the road again. Which brings me to my next point...TOUR. We're in the middle of organizing a 3-week tour from april27th till may 15th that extends from Minnesota to Ohio then up to eastern Ontario. In a week I'll post some dates as they start coming in. If you or anyone you know of puts on shows in your hometown then please email us at thebarrymores@hotmail.com. Or if your hometown has a great scene and you want us to come down (or stay away from it) send us a line as well. We're also shooting a low-budget video next week for "I'm Not Your Girl". We'll make sure to have it posted on the site by June. That's a promise. Besides that everyone's pretty good. Dan's working hard. Devin's studying hard. Jolene and Ian Kowal aren't doing either. Rob's busy being a radio personality (catch him on 107.1 6-7pm every weeknight) and me...well I'm fucking late for meeting up with all of them. Crap. Cheers! |
