| The Barrymores Hit the 5 Year Mark | ||

And we still haven't killed eachother. Believe it or not the same 5 people have been in this band and tried to make a go of it for 5 years now. In celebration (not like we don't celebrate enough) we're doing a huge ALL AGES show at the Park Theatre on June 9th. We'll be bringing in some out of towners and some of our favourites Winnipeg bands to play. We'll have lots of more details very soon. Another suprise at the show will be a new Barrymores member. |

First of all huge thanks to anyone who made it out to see us at either of our Thunder Bay shows last weekend. Holy shit we had fun and HOLY SHIT Gogol Bordello was incredible to open for. We demo'd 25 songs for our new cd a few weeks ago and we'll be posting some of the songs that worked out well very soon. Seriously...do it. Then sit back and watch the relatives go at eachother. Anyways...we've been really fucking busy as usual. This band never slows down. Last friday we played two shows. Unfortunately for us we lost the battle of the bands in the final round to Creed, Staind and Godsmack soundalikes. Oh well. C'est la vie. I'm sure they're happy with their prizes and the dicks in their asses. We were amazed how many people were out at our christmas show earlier that night despite Propaghandi playing 5 mins. away. So thanks to everyone that came out. I know a lot of people were bummed to miss the show for Propaghandi but we'll be playing another all ages mid January for the Afterbeat cd release. So check that out. If your of age get your ass down to the Zoo this friday (23rd) for our second Christmas bash with the Kildonans. It's going to be off the hook, no doubt about it. Thank god the Kildonans will be so fucking drunk for this show. I mean...what the hell were they doing sober last friday??? That was a first. Have a great Christmas everyone.
